We are so excited to announce the launch of our new online printed cupcake shop “Print Cakes.” Local orders can still be placed at Baked Cupcakery, but Print Cakes can send our personalised cupcakes across the UK!
We have been baking logo and photo cupcakes for years at Baked and we thought it was about time we shared them with the whole UK. During our time in the kitchen, we have created thousands of branded cupcakes for lots of companies, even Sir Richard Branson has had a bite. Last year we made over 7000 to celebrate the launch of the new Transpennine Express, now that is a lot of cake. See our corporate cupcakes here.
Print Cakes will not only continue supplying logo cupcakes for businesses but also create personalised cupcakes for birthdays, gifts and well… pretty much any occasion (there’s always and excuse for cake). It has a large selection of ready made designs, some of which can be personalised with names. There are also photo upload and message cupcakes available, is there anything better than eating a cupcake with your face on it?! See our personalised cupcakes here.
They are available in boxes of 6 and 12 for smaller gifts, or you can order up to 100 online for parties and larger celebrations. If you require even more cupcakes (7000?!) then you can get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call and we will sort it all out for you.
Please check it out and give us some support on our new venture here –> PRINT CAKES
A few weeks ago I was contacted by the Happy Egg Company (those free range eggs in the cute little yellow boxes) about a competition they were running with the Jamie Oliver Magazine. We always use free range eggs at Baked and I love a chance to get creative so it sounded promising. The competition is called ‘Bake The Nation‘ and they want people to make them a baked masterpiece that sums up the UK. The bakery is very busy at the moment (at some point I’m sure I’m going to end up trying to put a cake in the computer and my phone in the mixer) but I was definitely up for the challenge!
I got my thinking cap on and then waited for a break in the baking to give it a go. I decided to take the ‘Bake the Nation’ title as inspiration and chose to literally bake the nation. As Baked Cupcakery specialises in cupcakes (you probably guessed that from the name), it had to be a cupcake creation. As much as I love London and all the things that go on there, I wanted to celebrate the whole of the nation. I looked at the 12 regions of the UK (12 is a good baking number so I thought that was a good sign) and came up with a design to represent each one. What resulted is below…
Here are the photos of all the regions… from the top!
Yorkshire & the Humber
East of England
And of course, not forgetting our Capital!
I hope you enjoyed your tour of the UK through cupcakes. If you would like to enter the Happy Egg competition the closing date is the 1st of June… so plenty of time to get baking! Check out the other entries at the Happy Egg Co Facebook page, or to keep up to date with all of our baking creations, take a look at the Baked Cupcakery Facebook page (and give it a like if you wish :o)
The wedding season is starting up now and I just wanted to share the latest wedding I have catered for. The colour scheme was duck egg blue with dusty pink which looked beautiful when I visited the venue. I created a cupcake tower with a giant cupcake topping it off as well as cake pop place settings.
This was the first time I had made cake pop place settings for a wedding and I was really pleased with the results. The cake pops were done in the duck egg blue colour for male guests and the dusty pink colour for the female guests. They had mini pearl decorations and a shimmer. Cake Pops make amazing place settings and favours for your guests – two in one!
There was a request to have a special bride and groom cake pop for the bride and grooms table place setting. I have seen these before and think they are really cute but I hadn’t had a go myself. I loved the finished pops – think I will be having these when I get married!

I haven’t put a post up for quite a while, so I thought I would quickly share this recent cupcake tower. The bakery has been mad busy these past few weeks and there hasn’t been much time for anything else!
*UPDATE* You can now order online at our sister company Print Cakes!
So the next large corporate order was delivered yesterday to UKAR in Sunderland… 700 branded cupcakes for their employees. Although no where near as many as the 2000 baked for Virgin Money last month it was still a large task! There was a bit more room to breathe in the bakery this time around and the bake went smoothly. With more corporate orders booked in for next month it seems cupcakes are definitely the smart business choice!

Everyone loves a Christmas card, but once you’ve seen that same Christmas scene or jolly Santa Clause a million times does the sentiment start to wear off? How about giving something to your close friends and family that will really stand out and spread some real Christmas spirit?! At Baked we have created a special Christmas Box which does the job of a card and more! The box contains 4 delicious vanilla cupcakes frosted with a really creamy buttercream, Christmas sprinkles and a chocolate ring. So festive and gorgeous! Then the final cupcake can be topped with a photo and a “Merry Christmas from you” message (or just a message if you are camera shy).
These boxes are just £6.00 each (minimum order of 2 boxes) or 5 boxes for £25.00. We deliver throughout the North East, and free within Sunderland. Please get in touch to make an order or visit our Facebook page to see our other Christmas offerings.
I know it’s October, but the shops have gone Christmas crazy and so must I! It’s a confusing month, with ghouls, ghosts, Christmas trees and snowmen dominating my mind. Be warned, this post might put you in the festive spirit, if you can’t deal with it yet, scroll down and have a look at the Halloween post instead!
I have created a cupcake winterland this year, the main centre piece is a Christmas Tree Giant Cupcake complete with mini candy cane and bauble decorations. It’s surrounded with mini cupcake presents and snowmen. Perfect for your family Christmas, the cake can be vanilla or chocolate and is something everyone will enjoy (I know there are some fruit cake haters out there!) I also works as a fantastic Christmas gift, and can be delivered in time for Christmas (in the North East of England). Take a peek at them below…
The mini cupcakes can be bought separately in boxes on 12 and 24 for a cute gift.
We also have Christmas Tree Cupcakes on offer, which have a chocolate sponge and a vanilla top. If that’s not enough then Mr Frosty – our super Christmas cupcake will be for you. He’s made up of a vanilla cupcake base with a white choc cake pop head, all covered in coconut. He even has chocolate arms! I then got a bit carried away and made some Christmas scenes with all my creations…
